Valentine’s Day Dinner in City Park

Let Gundel transport you back in time, to Budapest’s Golden Age, when the capital was bustling with creativity and optimism, and citizens enjoyed life to the fullest. At the same time, look into the bright future at the hands of Executive Chef Zsolt Litauszki, who blends traditional Gundel cuisine with the latest culinary trends to surprise enthusiastic guests. On Valentine’s Day, Gundel restaurant seeks to offer the highest quality, the preservation of tradition, and the spirit of experimentation paired with romantic intimacy and a feast for the senses.

This offer is available from Thursday, February 14 through Saturday, February 16 (for lunch as well).

The Valentine’s Day menu showcases the creativity of Executive Chef Zsolt Litauszki. The wine pairings have been chosen by Head Sommelier Kitti Koór.

Five-Course Menu:

Citrus-Marinated Trout with Green Apple
Beetroot Velouté with Cottage Cheese Dumplings
Sea Buckthorn Sorbet

Your choice of main course:
Guinea Hen Breast with Chestnuts and Pomegranate
Cod with Parsleyed Risotto and Horseradish Foam

Wine Pairings:

A glass of sparkling wine with hibiscus flowers
Mádi Borház – Imádlak (“I Love You”) Cuvée
St. Andrea – Örökké (“Forever”)

Mineral water, coffee, tea

Along with the menu, guests may choose wine pairings or a bottle of Sauska Brut/Rosé sparkling wine.
The eight-course dinner will be accompanied by the melodies of our world-renowned violinist, Gyula Horváth and his Gundel Orchestra, presenting evergreens, film soundtracks, musicals and last but not least Hungarian and Gypsy songs as well.
Each guest will also receive an exclusive gift from the restaurant, a boxed selection of artisanal macarons.
The price of the Valentine’s Day menu with wines/sparkling wines is 19,900 HUF per person. This includes AFA and a service fee.
