Accessibility has also been ensured in the restaurant, the history of which was recounted by G\u00e1bor Tak\u00e1cs Gundel.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">G\u00e1bor Gundel Tak\u00e1cs is a descendant of the Gundel family on his mother\u2019s side. The&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/femina.hu\/hazai_sztar\/gundel-takacs-gabor-interju\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>In an interview with Femina<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;He spoke about family traditions, the history of the restaurant, and also about the first time he took his children to Gundel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>We have summarised the key points from the interview below:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>G\u00e1bor Gundel Tak\u00e1cs\u2019s great-great-grandfather,\u00a0<strong>J\u00e1nos Gundel came to Hungary from Bavaria.<\/strong>\u00a0He worked in the hotel and catering industry; in fact, he was the one who set up the Chamber of Commerce.\u00a0<strong>It was he who established the family\u2019s tradition of hospitality,<\/strong>\u00a0However, it is thanks to his son, K\u00e1roly Gundel, that the Gundel name became internationally renowned.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>His mother,\u00a0<strong>Through M\u00e1rta Gundel, she is a descendant of the Gundel family.<\/strong>\u00a0When he started working at Magyar Telev\u00edzi\u00f3,\u00a0<strong>A colleague of his who was already working there \u2013 who was also called G\u00e1bor Tak\u00e1cs \u2013 asked him to change something in his name.<\/strong>\u00a0It was then that he adopted the name Gundel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-nagyon-fontosnak-tartja-a-pozitiv-hozzaallast-gundel-takacs-gabor\">G\u00e1bor Gundel Tak\u00e1cs considers a positive attitude to be very important<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>His grandfather,\u00a0<strong>K\u00e1roly Gundel believed that hospitality was the most important thing.<\/strong>\u00a0One of his favourite sayings was: \u201eAnyone who can\u2019t smile at a guest should not become a restaurateur.\u201d G\u00e1bor Tak\u00e1cs Gundel considers this mindset important in all areas of life. \u201eIf someone leaves a place feeling good, they will pass that good feeling on to the next person they meet,\u201d he said.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>He deliberately chose to\u00a0<strong>when she took her children to Gundel for the first time. All three were teenagers,<\/strong>\u00a0when the time came, because he wanted them to experience that moment fully and consciously.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The family has already\u00a0<strong>has no connection with the restaurant, either commercially or legally,<\/strong>\u00a0But now they feel it\u2019s in good hands.
