Gundel Restaurant\u2019s film showcasing sign language communication came second at one of the world\u2019s most prestigious short film festivals. The 3 Minute Film Festival in Santa Barbara celebrates the creativity and message of three-minute films and is highly regarded amongst filmmakers.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This year, the \u201eIn the \u201dNarrative\u2019 category<\/strong> Twelve films from five countries (England, India, the United States, Hungary and Turkey) made it onto the shortlist \u2013 that is, into the competition programme \u2013 with the film *Gundel* representing Hungary. It is a huge success that the Gundel is for EVERYONE<\/strong> The short film of the same name narrowly missed out on the top prize at the festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The acclaimed film director, P\u00e9ter Bergendy<\/strong> Thanks to its production team, the Gundel film, which premiered in March this year, not only focuses on the commitment to CSR of Hungary\u2019s most famous restaurant, but also conveys a profound message about the importance of inclusivity. As part of this, staff members learnt the most important signs in both English and Hungarian sign language, and a menu written in Braille was produced for visually impaired diners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As well as its legendary hospitality, the social responsibility and awareness<\/strong> It has always been part of Gundel\u2019s core values and has shaped the attitude of the staff here, which is also evident in the care they show towards guests with visual or hearing impairments.
