„Elephants never forget, and neither will you…”

We are organising an adventure day in Városliget

In 2025, Gundel Restaurant adopted Samu, the baby elephant from the Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden. Samu has since outgrown his family home and, on 20 May, moved to Veszprém Zoo, where, as a young bull elephant, he is already learning the new rules of living in a herd.

And we will continue to offer our loving support to Samu’s parents, Angele and Assam, in the hope that another baby elephant may be born in the future.

To celebrate this, we’re organising a joint We are inviting primary school pupils from the 14th district and their adult carers to a play session in Városliget.
