At our music and dance evening, we look forward to welcoming our guests with a lavish buffet dinner, live music and dance. Upon arrival, we will welcome you with a glass of sparkling wine, and throughout the evening you can order additional drinks from the Gundel beverage menu, paid for separately on the night.
Andrea Keleti and her husband, Zoltán Kovács, together with the Budapest Showtime Band, will ensure that the evening unfolds in an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere. Become part of Gundel’s history and experience the legendary world of Budapest’s nightlife with us!
The venue for the evening
In good weather, the event will take place in the enchanting Gundel Garden, where we look forward to welcoming our guests beneath the plane trees, with atmospheric lighting and live music.
We will be serving a buffet dinner during the evening, and we will welcome our guests with a glass of sparkling wine on arrival.
Any drinks other than the welcome glass of sparkling wine are available from the beverage menu, subject to payment on the spot.
In the event of unfavourable weather, the event will be held in the elegant interiors of the Gundel Palace.
The buffet dinner and round-table seating will take place in the Erzsébet Ballroom, where atmospheric piano music will make the dinner even more enjoyable.
The programme of live music and dancing will then continue at Gundel Restaurant on the ground floor.
On arrival, we welcome our guests with a glass of welcome champagne.
Any further drinks from the beverage menu are available subject to payment on the spot.
We will inform our guests in advance of any changes to the venue, depending on the weather.

Evening Schedule
18:00 – Arrival and a dinner with music in the garden
Relax, take your seats, and get in the mood for the evening with us! We’ll be welcoming our guests with a glass of welcome champagne on arrival.
19:00–21:00 – Buffet dinner
The buffet dinner, curated by chefs András Wolf and Róbert Vérten and the Gundel kitchen team, is available between 19:00 and 21:00; we therefore recommend that you arrive in good time so that you can enjoy the full gastronomic experience at your leisure.
19:15 – The Budapest Showtime band takes the stage
The first tunes of the evening begin to play, and Gundel’s music and dance evening gets underway. The Budapest Showtime band sets the mood with a varied repertoire that’s sure to get you on the dance floor.
21:00–21:30 – Dance lessons with Andrea Keleti and her husband, Zoltán Kovács
Learn the basics from the best in the business! Have a great time whilst the hostess helps you loosen up with light-hearted, entertaining dance lessons. You’re welcome to join in, even if you’ve never danced before.
21:30 – The dance floor is open
This moment is all yours! The dance floor is now open to everyone. Dance, let your hair down, and lose yourselves in the music under the starry sky!
23:00 – Closing of the evening
The music and dance evening ends at 23:00.

When I should you arrive?
We look forward to welcoming guests from 18:00. It is worth arriving in time so that you can settle into your seats comfortably and get into the right frame of mind for the evening’s programme, accompanied by the intimate sounds of live piano music at the start of the evening. The buffet dinner is available between 19:00 and 21:00, so you can take your time to enjoy the full selection.
What does the ticket cover?
The ticket includes a buffet dinner, a glass of welcome champagne served on arrival, and the full programme of music and dancing for the evening. Live piano music during dinner creates an intimate atmosphere, after which the Budapest Showtime Band will ensure a night of carefree entertainment. Andrea Keleti and her husband will help guests feel confident enough to take to the dance floor with their light-hearted, entertaining dance lessons.
The aim of the evening is to provide a carefree, joyful experience for all participants – whether they are enjoying the programme as spectators or actively taking part in the dancing.
Drinks other than the welcome glass of sparkling wine are not included in the ticket price. Further drinks can be ordered from the Gundel beverage menu, subject to payment on the spot.
What sort of dinner menu can we expect?

Can beginners take part in the dance classes?
Of course! The dance class, which takes place between 21:00 and 21:30, is open to anyone interested and requires no prior dance experience.
Andrea Keleti and her husband will help even complete beginners to master the basic steps with ease – the aim of the evening is to create a relaxed, fun atmosphere, not to perform perfect moves.
How often are there music and dance evenings?
Music and dance evenings at Gundel, held once a month, on the last Wednesday of every month, at dinner time.

What happens in bad weather?
In the event of unfavourable weather, the event will be held in the rooms of the Gundel Palace. In the elegant Erzsébet Ballroom, we will set up a buffet and a seated dinner with round tables, whilst the music and dance programme will take place in the restaurant’s main area.
What happens if I cannot attend the event?
If you are unable to attend the event after all, please let us know no later than 5 days before the event’s start time. Upon request, we will transfer your pre-purchased ticket to a later music and dance evening, or exchange it for a Gundel voucher, which can be used at Gundel Restaurant within one month.

Is parking available?
The Gundel does not have its own parking. Public parking is available in the area and is charged until 20:00 with the zone code 1144.
