The venue for Gundel’s summer evenings of music and dance— in case of a good weather —is the enchanting Gundel Garden, which welcomes guests as a true urban oasis, bathed in beautiful lights and a romantic atmosphere. In case of rain or cooler weather, the event will be held in the elegant interior of the Gundel restaurant, providing a fitting setting for the experience.
Evening Schedule:
6:00 PM – Arrival and a musical dinner in the garden: Start your evening with the finest dishes of Hungarian cuisine! Choose from our menu while the piano melodies of Gundel’s traditional live music set the mood.
7:15 PM – The Budapest Showtime band takes the stage: The evening’s live band will perform the best tunes to bring out the magic of the garden.
9:00 PM – Playful dance lessons with Andrea Keleti and her husband: Learn the basics from the best in the business! Have a carefree time while the hostess of the evening helps you loosen up with the moves.
9:30 PM – The dance floor is open: This moment is all yours! Dance until you drop under the starry sky.
11:00 PM – Closing of the evening

A relaxed atmosphere, sophisticated flavours and dance-inviting rhythms - that's what the Gundel Music and Dance Evenings offer, a special series of events for those who appreciate elegant yet light-hearted entertainment.
You can choose from an a la carte menu, where Gundel's classic dishes - such as the famous Gundel pancakes or chicken paprikash - are accompanied by modern dishes.
All served as 2, 3 and 4 course dinner menus, accompanied by a selection of wines recommended by the sommelier.
The menu includes the special National 11 courses, inspired by the recipe heritage of Károly Gundel, featuring iconic flavours of Hungarian cuisine, Gundel-style.
The aim of the event is for guests to become part of a community, who will confidently take to the dance floor in 2026 at the Gundel Ball.

Restaurant Gundel has always stood out on the map of gastronomic experiences and cultural values.
His iconic dishes - the world-famous Gundel pancakes or the masterfully prepared chicken paprika - have given our guests a taste experience that spans generations.

The evenings start at 18:00, so we recommend you arrive at this time to be seated comfortably and enjoy dinner and live piano music in a relaxed atmosphere.
What kind of show can we expect?
During dinner, live piano music will provide an intimate accompaniment and the evening will begin at 19:00. The Budapest Showtime Band will entertain the guests, while Andrea Keleti and her husband will delight the guests with light and entertaining dance lessons. The evenings are designed to be a liberating, joyful experience - whether you join in as an observer or an active participant.
What are the dinner specials for the evening?
Guests can choose their dinner from the event’s menu , paired with a selection of our fine wines or signature cocktails.
Throughout the evening, guests can discover both Gundel classics and the finest dishes of modern Hungarian cuisine.
Can I make a reservation?
Yes, table reservations are recommended, and you can purchase them on our ticket sales page. To validate your reservation, you must purchase a dinner table ticket per person, which you can consume 100% exclusively on the day of the event.
Is there a dress code for events?
Yes, we suggest a smart, casual look to match the mood of the evening. The venue is representative, the programme is special.
Can I take part in the dance if I am a beginner?
Of course! The dance lessons are open to all, and you are welcome to join in without any previous training. With Andrea Keleti's help, even complete beginners can easily learn the basic steps - the aim of the evening is to have a relaxed, fun atmosphere, not perfect moves.
How often are there music and dance evenings?
Music and dance evenings at Gundel, held once a month, on the last Wednesday of every month, during dinner time.

What happens if I cannot attend the event?
If you are unable to attend, you may exchange your pre-purchased dinner ticket for a voucher, which you can redeem at Gundel Restaurant within one month.

What happens if I do not use up the value of my dinner ticket?
The full value of the dinner ticket can be used for food and drinks from our menu during the event.
Please note that we cannot refund any unused amount, and the credit is valid only for that specific evening.

Is parking available?
The Gundel does not have its own parking. Public parking is available in the area and is charged until 20:00 with the zone code 1144.
