You simply must see Budapest’s cosiest garden café!

The Eventrend Group The group celebrated its 30th anniversary last year. However, last year they too had to adapt to austerity measures and did not feel it was the right time to celebrate. However, over the past 12 months, they have managed to surpass all their previous results and generate a net turnover of more than 20 billion forints, which, combined with their anniversary, gave them cause to celebrate.

So they invited all their corporate and professional partners and held a huge, two-day party at Gundel Kert, which we also attended.

Whilst the name ‘Eventrend Group’ may not ring a bell with everyone, the venues they operate certainly will. We’d like to highlight just a few from their portfolio:

Centrál Café, Evezős Beer Garden, Groupama Arena catering provider, Gundel Restaurant, New York Café, Papp László Budapest Sports Arena catering provider, Séf Asztala, Spoon The Boat, Városliget Café & Restaurant, Tóterasz.

As we are talking about a huge corporate group, this was a brilliant opportunity for journalists and partners to get to know one another better, and the enchanting atmosphere of Gundel Kert provided plenty of opportunities for this.

The Gundel Garden It has recently undergone a major facelift, and alongside its staggering size, the design has turned out to be truly stunning. There is an abundance of plants, interspersed with elegant garden furniture and whimsical bronze sculptures.

It’s practically the atmosphere of the Gundel Café, but under the open sky.

What’s more, to mark the festive occasion, a number of extra decorative touches have been added to the garden.

The various activities were led by entertainers dressed in costumes. And a few of the zoo’s animals also made an appearance.

Throughout the evening, fire jugglers and Bálint Gájer’s band added to the entertainment, and of course there was a wide selection of delicious food and drink to enjoy.

Although it’s not possible to recreate the atmosphere of a birthday party every evening, based on our experience, we can wholeheartedly recommend a visit to the Garden.

Gundel’s menu is based on centuries-old traditions and a world-renowned heritage. In the Garden, you can order the same classic dishes as in the restaurant.

It is worth taking a look at, for example, the “National 11”Order from the menu entitled ” . As well as the original Gundel pancakes, the palóc soup and the chicken paprikás won’t disappoint either.

And as an added bonus, Gundel Kert even offers a children’s menu and a dog menu.

In good weather, they welcome visitors every day from 11.00 to 22.00. You can choose whatever takes your fancy from the café menu until 6.00 pm, and from the restaurant menu from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm.
