The award recognises those who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the Hungarian hospitality sector for at least 25 years.

The Hungarian Catering Trade Guild’s award is presented each year to professionals who have had an impeccable professional record for at least 25 years, have led exemplary lives, uphold the traditions of Hungarian hospitality, are committed to supporting the professional development of the younger generation, whilst promoting Hungarian hospitality worldwide.

László Kovács, President of the Hungarian Catering Trade Association, has announced three names as this year’s recipients of the 2025 Gundel Prize. They are Sándor Gottwald, László Ruprecht and Rudolf Semsei.

The awards will be presented on 19 October at a gala lunch at the Gundel Restaurant.
