MUSIC AND DANCE EVENINGS AT GUNDEL – Gundel has always been more than just a restaurant: in the past, alongside gastronomy, dance and music also played an important role in the experiences enjoyed here. And now these traditions are being brought back to life! The Gundel team is launching a series of evenings of music and dance, where movement and culture come together – creating moments to remember for a lifetime.

A blend of light-heartedness, culture and entertainment – Gundel’s evenings of music and dance they specifically target the over-30s. These evenings not only encourage participants to dance, but also offer a cultural experience: ball etiquette, the history of dance, and even the 130-year-old legends of Gundel are brought to life.

During the programmes Andrea Keleti, dancer Every evening, he teaches the basics of one dance to anyone who’s interested, whilst Zsolt Lukács, presenter guides guests through the mysteries of ballroom dancing and the history of dance. The evenings also serve as a sort of preparation, as With the aim of establishing a new tradition, Gundel will launch its first Gundel Ball next year, where participants in the summer programmes, should they wish to take part in such a festive event, can already take to the dance floor with confidence.

The first evening of music and dance will take place on Wednesday 23 April 2025, and will continue on the last Wednesday of every month (28 May, 25 June, 30 July, 27 August, 24 September). The venue will be the restaurant’s indoor area during the cooler months, whilst during the warmer months it will be the beautiful Gundel Garden.

At these dance evenings, music and dance take centre stage alongside the fine dining. There won’t be a separate menu for these evenings; every guest is free to choose whatever they fancy from Gundel’s extensive menu. However, there will be a band playing light dance music, a host and plenty of opportunities for couples to dance. And if anyone simply wants to watch the hustle and bustle, that’s perfectly fine too. Whilst booking a table is recommended to take part in this free event, Gundel welcomes all walk-in guests as long as there is space available.
